my story
In 2001, as an excited high school graduate passionate about art, I embarked on the next phase of my creative journey. I made the move from Northwest Indiana to the city of Indianapolis and attended the Herron School of Art and Design at IUPUI. In my first year of attendance at Herron, I began to explore the concepts of design as an art medium and quickly chose visual communication as my declared major. After four years of hard work and dedication, in 2005, I received a BFA with a focus in Visual Communication and Graphic Design.
Through graphic visuals I could speak to local, national and international communities and with this in mind, I continued my journey to the Tampa Bay Florida area and was hired by Visual Edge Design. I was initially hired to maintain the firms existing websites, but was quickly promoted to Lead Designer and became responsible for client consultations and the design of new custom websites. I held the position for a year and I loved every minute of it!
In 2007, I made my way back to Northwest Indiana and successfully held freelance and full-time positions for a number of small businesses and web design companies for several years.
In the summer of 2015, I made the decision to head back to sunny Florida when I was hired by DigiSphere Marketing as a Senior Design Specialist and Design Team Lead and held the position for nearly four years. I’m currently employed with Citibank as a Senior Program Manager and Design Specialist with a focus in strategic communication and engagement.
Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege to work on a number of design projects for small businesses, organizations, and clients across the country and in many industries. I have never lost the passion for what I do!
